Human Trap

A satirical sculpture of a human-sized, fully functional mouse trap built to test human
instinct by forcing people to confront their ability to resist an incredibly strong urge.
The trap was baited with a real $100 bill, clearly displayed in a plexi-glass frame.
When a person removed the frame, it released the trapping mechanism. A combination
of gravity and spring-power made the bar come over the head of the victim and "trap"
them. The bar was padded and made of safe, lightweight aluminum.
The project was set up and videotaped in four seperate locations in the city of
Providence, Rhode Island, over the course of one day.
