Simone Drucker is a multi-disciplinary artist who re-imagines natural orders through intricate sculptures and installations.
She began her career building pieces for the internationally recognized artist, Joep Van Lieshout, at his landmark studio facility in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
Simone’s work explores a theme of Nature Surrealism. She reveals the space where the ego is blurred with the earthen, addressing the Modern repression of Man’s instincts, from anxiety to transcendence, via environmental symbolism. Nature has always taken the place of religion for her; growing up in rural Northern California, she was surrounded by untouched land, her perspective shaped by the life cycles of species growing, flourishing, and passing on.
Primarily working in sculpture and mixed media, Simone has continued to exhibit a mastery of techniques and materials - from metal, to woodworking, to traditional 2-D techniques of painting and drawing –and pushes the traditional boundaries thereof.
Simone Drucker was born in Santa Cruz, California 1983. She currently resides in Los Angeles, CA
